About
Thoughtful dressing
Mimi Holvast creates comfortable, practical, and playful garments in small batches or a on made to order basis. With a focus on sustainable fabrics, thoughtful design, and exceptional craftsmanship, Mimi’s transeasonal designs integrate into any wardrobe.
Founded in 2017, Mimi Holvast is a Northern Rivers based (Bundjalung Country) designer, pattern maker and seamstress. Mimi celebrates the entire process, design to completion - idea, pattern making, cutting and construction, resulting in a small scale label.
Mimi is highly skilled in working directly with clients on custom projects, including wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, men’s formal wear, custom patchwork curtains, and more. Her ability to customise and adapt her MH garment archive sets her apart within the Australian design and manufacturing scene, offering clients tailored, one-of-a-kind pieces to be loved endlessly.
Working solo out of her Bexhill studio, Mimi ensures full transparency in her work, and her garments are made with ethical, waste-minimising values. She carefully sources natural fibre fabrics within Australia to create silhouettes that are both comfortable and flattering. Reflecting the small-scale nature of her label and sustainable ethos, all garments are either made to order or batched to order.
